Genesis Gardens - The World That Never Was #3
Disney's Animal Kingdom is one of the most beautiful and detailed theme parks Disney has ever put together so I always wondered why it's first "land" you walk through, The Oasis, was so, for lack of a better term, generic. Then I discovered that the Imagineering team had many other plans for the entrance to this park. One of the favorites among it's team and lead designer was called Genesis Gardens, a Garden of Eden type land, and you'd enter that land through an enormous Noah's Ark.
This episode sparks the conversation about why something with a biblical origin would be too controversial for a Disney theme park. The controversy surround religion is something we've grown used to, but why is it so controversial?
